Who is Mr. Gourav Vallabh and what was his statement about Congress
Who is Mr. Gourav Vallabh? Where does he live? What does he do for a living? Did you know his name before he resigned? Has he become famous for you just because of resigning from Congress or for joining the BJP? I am asking these questions because I haven’t heard his name before. How does it matter what one Mr. Gourav Vallabh has to say about Congress? Such people have to sell something to get a price. He didn’t have anything to sell or establish his credibility so the only thing he could sell was bad-mouthing his previous organization.
Do you remember seeing or hearing about this person Gourav Vallabh before? Has he ever come into the discussion or made any significant contribution to his party or the society as a whole? Does he look very young not to realize that he was with the wrong party all these years? Or all of a sudden he got divine enlightenment? Or all of a sudden Congress has become bad? Was Congress good all these years, and only before the election Congress has become bad?
Quite often I get similar answers from candidates in job interviews. When I ask them why they want to change their present organization, their answers are like this only - They are not happy with their pay package, they are not happy about their job, they believe they have been deprived of career growth, they do not see growth opportunities, etc. My question starts from there - What do you think why have your boss failed to notice that you are an asset to the organization? How do you rate your performance in your current organization on a scale of 10? What would be your rank if there are 5 people in the profile you are working? Whom does your present boss call when he has a critical assignment? How often have you shown eagerness or enthusiasm to take some extra responsibilities?
Most of us feel that we haven’t been given proper justice for our competencies, hard work, dedication, loyalty, etc. But we do not see the other side of the story. Most of our failures are because of our inability to see the other side and our failure to position ourselves ahead of others. We just go on complaining. There are people who manage their growth, promotion, salary hike, etc even in a sluggish organization.
This person Gourav Vallabh has also adopted the same approach - badmouthing his previous organization to change his job. Quite often people badmouth their previous organization simply because they have been fired because of their poor performance or integrity issues. Unfortunately, that badmouthing is the only value proposition to be taken in the BJP. His only qualification is that he was with Congress. Do you feel people like Gourav Vallabh are competent or qualified to give certificates whether Congress is good or bad?
Possibly the same guy was with Congress for many years growing through rank and file. Possibly it was Congress that made him what he is today. However, all of a sudden he has discovered that Congress is against Sanatan Dharma. And his realization has come just before the general election.
