HOW SOON WE CAN EXPECT KEJRIWAL TO GET OUT OF JAIL

I have no idea when Kejriwal will be released from jail. We all can make assumptions only. The players of the game are the master planners. They must be having well-laid plans plotting every move, counter moves, possible public reaction, international reaction, and possible judiciary intervention, what can go right, what can go wrong, and a contingency plan to meet the unforeseen. See Kejriwal’s arrest is the result of a very well-planned move with the exact timing of every move. This is a very complex game.

The Modi government must have extensively calculated all the cost elements and implementation hassles factors. In cost accounting very extensive calculations are made, considering all areas of costs, both variable and fixed-raw materials, production, manpower, machinery, depreciation, technology, cost of capital, designing, packaging, testing, certification, R&D, transportation, insurance, distribution, promotion, advertising, marketing, sales return, product obsoletion, expense on statutory compliance, brand building, brand leveraging, expected return on capital invested (ROCE), return on asset (ROA). You see so many factors have to be considered to arrive at cost. We have still not gone into pricing yet. Pricing is a much more complex game. In addition to all these, we must consider factors like marketing strategy, product positioning, opportunity and opportunity lost, market size, competition, cross-competition, and consumer willingness to pay.

I have tried to give an extensive picture of what amount of planning and calculation goes to arrive at cost, price, and profit. Plus they have to take care of other tangible and intangible factors. I am not going further deep into it. This is for production and marketing planning. An organization becomes successful when it takes care of all these elements most accurately. Kejriwal’s arrest is also the result of such extensive and complex planning. BJP must have pre-calculated everything in advance with adequate contingency measures. But things can go wrong even after such extensive planning.

However, I would like to believe that Kejriwal’s arrest was a too risky move. There is a very high chance that the entire move could be hugely damaging for the BJP. BJP is now in a catch-22 situation. Holding Kejriwal in jail is going to be a very costly affair since BJP’s design has been badly exposed with the exposure of electoral bond details. Releasing Kejriwal from jail will also be a big loss of face for BJP proving that the Modi government had no solid evidence to implicate Kejriwal. Between these two possibilities, there is hardly any room for maneuver. The Godi media has lost its credibility completely. People have stopped taking their views and assertions at face value. Let’s see how soon Kejriwal gets released. If they release Kejriwal, they have to release Sisodia as well. Modi government has unnecessarily landed itself into a complex situation.
