 Sometime back, a year back to be precise, I told a story of a running race. “Son after returning from school told, “Papa I have become 2nd in the race”. Papa - “Great, bravo my son! Who was first?” Son - “ Mukesh”. Papa - “ How many were in the race?”. Son - “Papa just two of us me and Mukesh”

Hum Do - Hamare Do

You can change the story a bit if you don’t like it. Son after returning from school said, “Papa I have become First in the race”. Papa - “Great bravo my son! How many were in the race?”. Son - “Papa just two of us, me and Gautam”

There could be a different story as well. Son after returning from school said, “Papa I have become First in the race”. Papa - “I know - I know. I only set the game so that only you and Gautam are left in the race. I made sure that others were thrown out or disqualified. Now go get me a glass of milk, I had to work really very hard to arrange all this.” There were other two sons. Two different Mukesh and Gautam (name changed) who seemed to read my story and took the lesson of “thrown out or disqualified” very seriously. They understood that to be the winner you have to throw out and disqualify people.

My next story is about the other two sons almost in the same line. The two sons were given two special chairs or whatever you call them. They have enough power to decide who should stay inside and who won't. They came back and said “ Papa we have made the field all clean for you. You don’t even have to run the race or make any debate. We have worked very hard and we should get some special prizes. Papa - I have already given you the prizes. Otherwise, do you feel you deserve those chairs?”
