The sexual abuse case against Prajwal Revanna has been registered after videos of sexual assault of over 2,900 women, allegedly by Revanna, were circulated on social media recently. Revanna is the sitting of the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency and NDA candidate for the 2024 general election. He has also been a minister in the BJP-JDS coalition government in Karnataka. The Grandson of the former PM HD Deve Gowda. Can you imagine the grandson of a former PM has recorded 3000 odd sexual exploitation videos involving himself? This can not be secret from the Gowda family. I shudder to imagine the kind of politics we are seeing and the kind of people who are holding power.
Prajwal Revanna seems to have favorable consideration from the judiciary. Revanna is also said to have secured a media gag order from a trial court in Bengaluru last year to restrain the publication of the videos, which he claimed were fake and morphed. No surprise. Just imagine if the BJP had been in power in Karnataka possibly we wouldn’t have ever heard about this case.
As per Wikipedia “In September 2019, the Karnataka High Court issued a summons to him over an incomplete election affidavit. Petitioners of the summons accused Prajwal of filing a false and incomplete affidavit with his nomination papers during the 2019 elections.[13] In January 2020, Justice John Michael D'Cunha dismissed the first petition on grounds that the petitioner had not complied with the statutory procedure under Section 81(3) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, and the second on technical grounds”
"According to reports, sensing the impending police case and arrest, the accused Member of Parliament and NDA candidate for Lok Sabha Prajwal Revanna has fled the country and travelled abroad on April 27 itself. It is learnt from reports that he is travelling abroad on his diplomatic passport," Siddaramaiah said. It is reported that he is currently in Germany. Meanwhile, the Karnataka CM has appealed to the Prime Minister to cancel his diplomatic passport and bring him back to India immediately.
If the topmost family of the JDS is the kingpin of such a heinous crime, what kind of message had been going to the other party members, and what kind of atrocities they might be inflicting on the female party workers? I am not ready to believe that, this act is the first generation act. At 33 years he can not achieve this so quickly unless this has been transferred to him by bloodline and this might already be a regular practice in the family line. Without active family and government support Prajwal Revanna couldn’t have done this. Even if he has made one video every day it would take ten years to shoot 3000 videos. What could be the level of perversion and sadism one would have, to do this?
JDS leadership can not wash off their responsibility. H D Kumaraswamy can not be allowed to play clean. The BJP leaders including PM Modi and Home Minister Modi also can not wash their hands. Unless the Modi government takes immediate action to cancel Prajwal Revanna’s passport and bring him back immediately to face to law, then BJP will also be party to the crime. Let PM Modi decide how he would deal with this.
