Politics is a battlefield where parties pitted against each other will do whatever possible to halt progress or damage the credibility of the other party. So if PM Modi has destroyed or tried to destroy Rahul Gandhi, no one can complain about it. This is natural, in turn, nobody stopped Rahul from doing the same in return. Well, a ruling party PM has much more resources and power to do damage to the opposition party leader. To that extent, Rahul is at the receiving end. But these things keep on happening. Sometime back Congress was in power and the BJP was in opposition, the wheel keeps on moving.
the problem is with Rahul, that he could never build up his credibility. In a cricket field a batsman is surrounded by 11 fielders inclusive of the bowler. Sometimes the batsman is surrounded as shown in the pictures below. This happens when the bowler is getting extraordinary turns or support from the pitch, and the batsman is a tailender.
Rahul is exactly in the same position. So it's natural that the BJP will do everything possible to finish off the match quickly. But Rahul is not finished yet, though he is not being able to make any score. Unfortunately, Rahul is not known to be a great batsman on the pitch, neither he has got someone better at the other end. So he is forced to face all the balls himself. But I think he is doing great despite all the hindrances and limitations. The best way to score a run is No Ball, free hit, Wide, Bye, Leg Bye, etc. He shouldn’t make a hurry to score runs. He should focus on his defense and wait for the loose ball. There was a time when the Indian Cricket team used to have only one or two main bowlers, it was mostly not possible to bowl out the opposite team twice in a match. In those days most of India’s Test matches ended in draws because we had few great batsmen who would do anything but wouldn’t get out.
India's England tour of 1974, was one of the worst ones for India. The second test at Lord’s started on 20th June, England batted first and scored a massive total of 629 runs, whereas India struggled and had to follow on for the second inning where they scored their lowest total 42/9. The injured Chandrasekhar did not come out to bat. Eknath Solkar remained unbeaten on 18. This 42 at Lord’s is India’s lowest test score to date. The difficult tour ended with a 3-0 series loss. Congress is also in a similar position today. Congress has already been defeated 2-0 in the series.
